A high level meeting of Principals of private sector medical colleges of the province held at KMU

Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar will facilitate all the private sector medical colleges of the province in adaptation of modern techniques of learning, curricula development and re-search related activities at undergraduate level. It was decided in a high level meeting of Principals of private sector medical colleges of the province held here at Peshawar under the chairman ship of Vice Chancellor KMU Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hafizullah.

VC KMU Prof .Dr. Muhammad Hafizullah apprised the principals of the private sector medical colleges about the decision taken so for by KMU related to research and development change of traditional mode of instruction to PBL and implementation of SEQ’s and MCQ’s type of evaluation system.

He threw light on the week long journey of search and research of the principals of Public Sector Medical Colleges of the province to Aga Khan University Karachi, Dow University of Health Sciences Karachi, Zia-ud-Din Medical University Karachi, University of Health Sciences Lahore, Quaid Azam University Islamabad and Shifa International Medical College Islamabad.

VC KMU Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hafizullah offered all possible support to the private medical colleges in transformation of curricula, Research related activities and adaptation of Problem Based Learning. He said that KMU is open for both private and public sectors and will always welcome whole heartedly both the sectors for the betterment and quality enhancement of medical education.

VC KMU told the participants that to take the private sector on board KMU has decided to give representation to the private sector medical colleges in all the statutory bodies’ i.e Senate, Syndicate and Academic Council of KMU
